Founder, Grandpa Norman Paige, began his work in life for the United States Army, as a printer at the Pentagon, a long way from sunny San Diego County. Upon returning home to east county, Grandpa Paige worked with several well respected water well companies. However, it was not until 1980 that he struck out on his own and formed East County Pump and Water Well Drilling. After 40 years of drilling and water well servicing, he turned to his son Danny.Dan
Dan Wasson drilled his first well for his family home with his dad when he was only 14 years old. He was a natural. Dan too served his country in the United States Army and when he returned to east county, he worked for several San Diego based construction companies. In the early 1990’s, Dan joined Grandpa Paige in the family business and later took over the business. Dan has become a welcome sight to many home and business owners here in east county as he is always there for his customers, day or night…no job is too big or too small.
Dan can be found all over San Diego County, working with his daughters Katelyn and Danielle, to take care of his customers. Katelyn has continued on in her family business, not afraid to get her hands dirty, and has that same natural gift of great customer service and a knowledge of water well s and drilling that her father and grandfather before her possessed. Today, you can find Katelyn and her husband Nick tending to East County Pump’s customers. They too are tireless and strive for excellence at their craft.
